At FHET, we believe education can become one of the strongest pathways out of limited opportunity.
For many students, potential is not the problem. The challenge is access, access to tuition, learning materials, guidance, encouragement, and the support needed to continue their education.
Through our education initiatives, we seek to help students overcome these barriers, develop their abilities, and move toward a future filled with greater confidence, opportunity, and purpose.
Education can open doors that may otherwise remain closed. For students facing financial and social barriers, even basic educational expenses can make continuing school or pursuing higher education difficult. FHET seeks to stand alongside these students by providing practical educational support and encouragement that can help them remain in education and continue building toward their future.
Project LJ — Rising Scholars is FHET’s educational support initiative designed to help students who face financial barriers to continuing their education.
We believe a student’s financial circumstances should not determine the limits of their potential.
Through scholarships, educational assistance, mentorship, and encouragement, Rising Scholars seeks to help students continue learning, pursue higher education, develop their abilities, and eventually contribute positively to their families and communities.
For many young people, reaching college or university can feel beyond their circumstances.
FHET seeks to help capable students continue toward higher education and pursue opportunities that can strengthen their future.
Financial support alone is not always enough.
Through mentorship, encouragement, and guidance, FHET seeks to help students build confidence, stay focused on their goals, and make thoughtful decisions about their education and future.
Our goal is to help students move beyond barriers that restrict their potential.
Through educational support, mentorship, and encouragement, we want to see young people develop the confidence and abilities they need to pursue meaningful opportunities and become positive contributors to their families and communities.
From Limited Opportunity to a Hopeful Future
FHET’s commitment to education grew from seeing young Christian boys working early in the morning, sweeping roads when they could have been carrying school bags and pens.
That experience raised a powerful question:
What if the next generation could inherit opportunity instead of the same limitations?
Years later, a small group of six students began helping fellow students who were struggling to pay their tuition fees.
One of the students they supported went on to complete his master’s degree — showing what can happen when someone is given an opportunity.
That experience helped shape FHET’s continuing commitment to education and student support.
